Preamble

Welcome to our esteemed Preceptorship Programme, designed to cultivate the next generation of healthcare leaders and professionals. We at DMIHER.DU are commited to excellence and this programme serves as a bridge in formal and informal bond between the preceptors and preceptees thereby offering a rich learning experience for both .

As healthcare evolves rapidly, the role of preceptors becomes increasingly vital in ensuring the competence, confidence, and compassion of future practitioners. Through mentorship, guidance, and hands-on experience, preceptors play a pivotal role in shaping the skills and values of those entrusted to their care.

Our Preceptorship Programme stands as a testament to our dedication to fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth with care . Operational Guidelines

Enrolled students (preceptees) of every academic year are divided into batches of maximum 10 per batch and are assigned under a senior faculty member (Preceptor) for reporting their problems and difficulties through the meeting held every month.

Problems and difficulties are broadly categorized into Academic, Hostel and Nonacademic issues.

The Meeting is held on last Saturday of every month at the seminar hall of respective department. The schedule of monthly preceptor-ship meet for the students posted in respective departments is displayed in the time table for the academic year.

The preceptor sends the report of his/her preceptees to the Preceptor in-charge of that academic year, besides signing the notes of the meeting in the diaries. who then sends it to co-convener preceptoship programme.

Activities

Monthly meeting of students &preceptor.
Students research and publication review.
Students Attendance Review.
Identification of low performance and their referral to students guidance unit if needed(SGU).
Solving students academic and nonacademic difficulties if any.

Constitution Of Preceptorship Programme :

Every constituent faculty of the University i.e. Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Engineering, Pharmacy, School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Allied Sciences each has a preceptorship co-convener .
